Innovation for Administrative Professionals
Creativity is increasingly cited as a skill valued and sought by hiring managers, and administrative professionals in particular should take note. As rote tasks are increasingly simplified by (or even delegated to) new technologies, the future of the profession belongs to the innovators who will define how the role evolves.

This presentation offers administrative professionals tools and strategies for cultivating creativity, communicating ideas, and making innovation an integral part of the way we work.

Beyond the Hero’s Journey: Becoming the Mentor
This presentation explores the Hero’s Journey as the launching point for a life of purpose and creativity. While the journey begins as an exercise in healing or self-realization, eventually the Hero is “healed enough” to return and assume the mantle of leader in the community. It is at this point that the Hero transitions and becomes the Mentor, sharing hard-won talismans, treasures and tools to help others on their own creative quests.

Attendees will explore their experience and talents in the light of the Hero’s Journey, craft a “Mentor Message” and identify 1 to 3 action steps they can take to become the mentors they wished they’d had.

Tree of Life: Seeding a New Kind of World
What would a world look like where we valued creativity over capital, taught collaboration over competition, and saw success not as an individual but a community achievement? How might it change the way we parent and educate our children, employ our adults and integrate our elders? In many ways, this world is beginning to emerge before our very eyes, and by conscious engagement we can hasten its advance.

In addition to an interactive presentation, this program features a life-sized, interactive “Tree of Life” prop. Attendees are provided with leaf-shaped cutouts and encouraged to cover the tree branches with messages of inspiration, stories and ideas on how the community can better collaborate, grow and thrive.
